# OpenWeights.com > OpenWeights.com is an independent licensing desk for open-weight AI models. It explains which commercial license a company needs for a given open-weight model, based on its revenue, monthly users and region, and routes qualified license requests to the lab that publishes the model. OpenWeights.com does not sell or grant licenses itself; only the publishing lab can. Open weights means a model's trained parameters are published for download. It is not the same as open source: the Open Source Initiative's definition of open source AI also requires the training and inference code and enough detail about the training data to rebuild a similar system. Many open-weight models ship under non-commercial, revenue-capped, user-capped or branding licenses. ## Key pages - [Home and license checker](https://openweights.com/): check whether a model needs a commercial license at your company's size - [License directory](https://openweights.com/#directory): open-weight models with commercial conditions - [Open weights FAQ](https://openweights.com/#faq): open weights vs open source, commercial use, outputs, thresholds - [For labs](https://openweights.com/#labs): partner program for labs that publish open weights - [Sources and method](https://openweights.com/#method): where the data comes from and how it is checked ## License directory (last checked 27 September 2026) - Black Forest Labs, FLUX.2 [dev]: FLUX [dev] Non-Commercial v2.0.
